Purchased my IQ-1030-B in May of 2002. Was not happy about the annual service fee $100 fee for the hygiene service but figured that it needed to be done. Fee kept going up and now is $200 which is ridiculous. Real problems started when it stopped softening my water and a continuous flow of water from the unit. Called and the first time a serviceman came out he tested my water and said, yep your... Read more

This company tried to put a lien on my house when they couldn't get pay from Costco. Called the sales rep about my low water pressure, and got whole bunch of black sandy stuffs in the water pipe which may be caused by the Puronics device. She did not call me back and block my number. I called the customer service number and they scheduled me to next Thursday because they are booked. You would... Read more

I purchased the system through Costco and had it installed by a company called Park Mechanical. FYI, people at the stands don't know anything, I asked the same person, the same question but during different visits and got different answers. However, I was searching for a whole house system because I was expecting a baby and wanted better water quality therefore I decided to give them a chance,... Read more

First, I saw a Rep. at our Home Show and spoke about Puronics and it sounded really good. When I called to find out some answers with customer service, the person didn't know and that I need to talk to the rep when they come out. As of today, I found out Puronics sales people are very deceptive. The local Puronics guy just left and was very nice at first. He started doing his "water testing" with... Read more

When I made the appointment Puronics agreed to change the Filters and check the connections. At arrival the service person told my elderly mother they only change the filters. (not what I was told when they sold me the follow up service) When I called they agreed to come back. IT took them two weeks to come out to me to tell me they only come out when there is a leak and they don't check... Read more

Technician left the black box from resin tower on the ground instead of putting it safely on the bench. During the repairs the technician called me, I did not see the box on the ground, I fell on the ground,my head was few inches from the tower and I broke my arm. Technical kept on asking me questions while I was in terrible pain, I ended up in the hospital. Great Southern told me it was my... Read more

We bought a water softener in 2004 from General Ionics. We were told how this was a fabulous product, used by NASA even. The stainless steel tank came with a lifetime warranty. We paid a lot of money for this system. Wow were we ***! We have used their salt, which is way more expensive than other salts, we were paying for quality, right? I loved having a water softener and bragged about how... Read more

We have a Puronics whole house water softener and filtration system. We purchased it in 1997 and moved it with us to our new home when we moved. We have always been pleased with its performance, as well as the service we received from the company, which was originally called General Ionics. I recently called for our annual filter change and maintenance as well as to purchase salt. I was... Read more

Aqua Vida Water a dealer of Puronics system is not insured and has sales reps and installers working for them in the Houston area. They do not pull city permits and don't have a licensed plumber working for them. They are selling there system for $3999 saying its top of the line. Please do your research before purchasing. Call a couple other companies like infinity water systems to give you... Read more
