My rights To Cancel The Contract Violation.
The salesman would not cancel my contract and threaten to ruin my credit if they had to come back to get the water system.Plus I had to pay $500.00.He basically used scare tactics and he was very deceptive. He lied to Consumer Affairs and said I did not call the Co. nor him to cancel my contract.
I did not receive my contract papers until Consumer Affairs mailed me the copies after my complaint . I 've got the proof on my cellphone that I spoke with him on 1-23-18 the same exact day he dated the contract and sent them to the Co.
The contracts was dated days after our signatures. There is no difference in our water from then til now.The price of the water was not as originally stated. Oh the lies goes on and on I am in the process of getting a lawyer to get the lein off my home.I told the salesman we could of $60.00 in 2018 and increased to $90.00 in 2019.We have a disability that takes care of the regular bills and I tried to explain that to the salesman on 1-23-18

Deceptive Company!
First, the sales rep was very nice, worrisome but nice. She came to our house 3 times to convince us how terrible our water is. We fell for it.
Later we called about the orange ring in our toilet and could never get anyone out. Then we called because the system was making a noise under the sink when we flushed the toilet and again, no resolve. But then I called to see what the fee was and discussed canceling the account, I was told I signed a binding contract, that I should have read it and I COULD NOT cancel it! This upset me to my soul because of course the sales rep said we could cancel anytime! Omg what do you mean CANT! I was livid!
My ‘account manager’ then went on to threaten my house if I canceled and said I had no recourse, deal with it. I immediately told her to cancel the payment after the threat.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY!! There is no customer service, they have deceptive sales practices and there are less expensive systems out there. Now that I have saved someone else from falling for it and buying this system, I’m going to call them back and resume paying and sue them to get out of the contract, the right way.
Preferred solution: Disconnect the system
Thank You to All Previous Reviewers of Puronics on this Forum
Fell for the demonstration and the sales tactics felt shady BUT due to the fact that I read all your reviews of Puronics on Pissed Consumer, we successfully aborted our purchase and installation of this system that day! We had 3 days to cancel and did it within 24 hours.
Something about the sales pitch did not see right and the price kept falling as we were more ready not to deal. In fact, after the installation and sale was cancelled. The sales rep and his manager came to our home within hours to offer up an even more tempting deal of 50% off. So how does a system that sells for 8000 suddenly become 4000.
Also, the scheduling of installation was instant after the credit approval. I am grateful to all previous reviewers and their experiences because we almost made a big mistake.
They've been good to us...

I am a real customer. Let me share my experience: First, we received a postcard in the mail for a free Tide bottle.
Who doesn't want free Tide? I sent in the postcard with our information, only to find out this free Tide postcard is actually a lead generating system, in which these postcards get sent to sales guys from particular filtration system companies to come knock on your door. Fast forward one week later, a very nice sales man for RainSoft filtration system comes knocking to show us a presentation and test our water. OK, bunch of BS.
They do this entire presentation with bottles that are colored and all sorts of jargon, that I must say, is very convincing, to prove to you how "hard" your water is, etc. They also add an incentive to your purchase, if you buy the system, you get a lifetime of "natural products" for free. ALSO BS. NOT ONE PRODUCT ON THIS ENDLESS LIST OF "FREE LIFETIME NATURAL PRODUCTS" IS ON THE WEBSITE THEY GAVE US ONCE WE PURCHASED THE SYSTEM.
NOT ONE!!! ADDITIONALLY, WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO PAY FOR THESE PRODUCTS, AND THEYRE DOUBLE THE PRICE OF ANY HOUSEHOLD PRODUCT YOULL FIND ON ANY SHELF! After an hour + of this salesman ranting and raving about this system and how deadly our city water is, I let him know we are not interested in paying $8000. He was relentless.
I finally got firm and told him to leave us alone, the nerve to come and ask a single family home to spend 8k on water that we get from the city anyway. He persisted to get us a good deal and once he realized RainSoft could not match our budget, referred us to this company, Puronics. Gave us a sales pitch that this company is "just as good just....". Fine.
We let this guy have his chance. Came by and did his own sales pitch. Finally, after arguing for 2 weeks, Puronics "did us a favor" to match our budget. Came and installed.
Brought the finance paperwork, 1000 over our agreed cost. Clearly, I flipped. I knew this was a sign that nothing will live up to what they were selling us. Fast forward 5 months later, and our toilets are more brown than ever.
If you leave water in a cup for a couple of hours, you will have a dirty residue on the cup when you pour the water out. I recently saw on the news a class action suit against these companies and plan to contact the media to get this system out of my home and pocket. TRUST ME. Use your hard earned money elsewhere.
They are simply good sales guys. This system is a JOKE!
Preferred solution: To remove the system from my home and cancel the finance program. We dont want a refund on past payments.
Brown Water for Years
I’ve had my purionics system since roughly 2006. We have always had intermittent issues with brown water after backup.
We had tech after tech out to reset things, replace filter, check water pressure etc.. over the years. We went months not even using the system because of our frustrations. Last time our filter was replaced, they suggested we buy a new system or pay to have part of it rebuilt, which wasn’t cheap either (over a grand).
Are you kidding me?? We already paid well over 5,000 for a system that gives us brown water.
We see this problem isn’t uncommon. If it’s a defect in the system, purionics should replace or fix.
Worst product ever!!

Puronics - Water Filter Review
I had the TG puronic system put in my house this company reps at lease for the one that came out did not speak English I told him that I didn't understand Spanish I was decieved by the rep. He gave me a copy of the so called contract in Spanish he said he was going to send me a contract in English which I never received, he also said I could order the product for 1$ the first time then it would be free, yes it is free but he did not tell me that I would have to pay it per pound I called the company to order the product and was told I had to pay 280.00 dollars for shipping and again I say that the rep didn't mentioned I find this company is a fraudulent company with poor people selling the product, they lied to me and he painted real pretty to me but my mistake I called the financial company to cancel my contract and to come to remove the system from my house that I wasn't going to be ripped off by paying 7500$ for something I didn't need i called tg puronic and was told I have to talk to the finance company I'm getting the runaround by this company and I do recommend not to get scammed by this company. Whew this one was a long one but I feel that no other person gets ripped off.
Puronics Customer Care Review from Harlingen, Texas
I've had my system for less than 6 months and I've been attempting to get help from ANY service technicians because all the lines from my new home are spitting out salty water. I called Puronics at 800-339-**** and they refered me to 4 other numbers in the Houston area.
First number, Aqua Vida: 713-469-****, the number is disconnected. Second number, Aquafeel Solutions: 855-790-**** said they can't help and they would send a technician over for a $75 charge to just look over the system. Third number, TG water: 877-247-****, No Answer and mailbox is full. Fourth number, Ameritek Ind.: 888-907-****, is in California and they refered me to another number to whoever it is at 818-403-****, and guess what?
No Answer...
I've been thrown in the industry loop for over $6,000 and no help. Thank you Puronics.

no, the above user is not a fake. They are right, puronics themselves are a manufacturer only.
They do not have direct sales reps, and they do not directly sell to customers. They have companies that are authorized dealers, and those companies are who the customer buys through.
Those authorized dealer companies are also responsible for sales contracts, direct customer service, maintaining warrenties, etc. Any issues you may have that are not regarding the actual quality of the equipment are because of the company you bought the system through.
First, you're a customer that no one could please. You have a contract with the finance company and not the water system company.
You may need a replacement, but you going at it the wrong way. I'm sure no rep said you could cancel, cause they didn't finance you. Would you take a purchased vehicle back to the dealer after 2 weeks?
Your problem is with the dealer and not Puronics. I love the system and it's the best decision I've made.
